The Castle Museum in Sandomierz is implementing the project “Open Castle – comprehensive modernization of the exhibition and storage buildings of the Castle Museum in Sandomierz”, which received funding under the action:

FENX. 07.01 Cultural and tourism infrastructure priority FENX. 07 Culture of the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027.

Project value: 78,860,262.45 PLN
European Funds contribution: 49,218,453.36 PLN

One of its elements is the comprehensive renovation and adaptation for cultural activities, including compliance with current standards, fire regulations, adaptation for people with disabilities, as well as partial expansion of the building at 15 Sierpnia Street belonging to the post-industrial complex located in Sandomierz (as part of the so-called “old bakery”), along with the construction of a new external staircase. The facility will ultimately serve museum/educational-cultural, storage (study warehouses) functions. The task also includes the renovation, reconstruction, and adaptation to fire protection requirements of the remaining buildings at 15 Sierpnia Street, which will serve technical functions.
